(Itasca, IL – November 3rd, 2010) This October marks the 12th year, local beverage distributor, Town and Country, is uniting with businesses across the country to help fight childhood cancer through the 17th annual St. Jude Halloween-Thanksgiving Promotion sponsored by MillerCoors and benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. During the two month-long promotion, employees at the participating establishments will ask patrons to make a $1 or $5 donation to St. Jude to join in the fight against catastrophic childhood diseases. In return for the contribution, the donors will have the opportunity to write their names on pumpkin-themed pinups which will be displayed in each location through Thanksgiving.
MillerCoors adopted the St. Jude Program as its official project in 1994. Since the program started more than $41 million has been raised for St. Jude.
“We are so pleased with the success of the Halloween Promotion, and we are grateful for the dedication and support of the businesses and customers who have embraced our lifesaving mission,” said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude. “Each pinup bought during this campaign will ensure that St. Jude continues to unlock the mysteries of childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. This generosity inspires hope in the patients and families who come through our doors every day.”
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
